Impact of Direct Current Electrical Stimulation on Treatment of Lumbosacral Radiculopathy
STUDY OVERVIEW
This study sponsored by NeuFit - Neurological Fitness and Education aims to compare the effectiveness of two electrical stimulation methods, alternating current and direct current, in treating lumbosacral radiculopathy, with a focus on evaluating the Neubie direct current device. Participants will undergo a 6-week treatment regimen at nine clinic sites, with assessments including pain intensity, functional status, neurological status, electrophysiological changes, and patient satisfaction. The experimental group will receive physical therapy exercises with the Neubie device, while the control group will use a traditional TENS unit. Evaluation sessions before and after treatment will measure the impact on radiculopathy symptoms.
STUDY GOALS
The study aims to compare the effectiveness of Neubie direct current electrical stimulation with traditional TENS unit therapy in treating lumbosacral radiculopathy, assessing pain intensity, functional status, neurological changes, and patient satisfaction over 6 weeks.
